Lithographs

I was introduced to making lithographs in 1989 by the irrepressibly energetic late-great Neil Leveson at the erstwhile Victorian Print Workshop.

Neil was one of the great encouragers, who I first met in the late 1970s when he and John Robinson were editioning artists prints at Druckma Press in their West Melbourne studio.

Most of the lithographs that form this exhibition were made as evolving series of prints, produced in intensive sessions, working with Neil and then later with Bavarian Limestone virtuoso, Peter Lancaster - originally at his Middle Park Studio and then later at the Brooklyn Workshop.

Whilst these prints have all been exhibited at some stage in the past – they have never been shown collectively – so this exhibition forms something of a survey, chronicling my enthusiasm for this captivating form of lithography.
